As part of the Thirty-inch Main Replacement Project, the Tamaqua Area Water Authority will be installing a temporary by-pass line to keep its' customers in portions of Dutch Hill and East end in water service, begining Monday, September 11, 2017 at 7:00a.m. customers may notice lower than usual pressure at times.  The Authority will be using two fire hydrants and large diameter hose for the by-pass as a result, there is an increased chance that the water may contain disease-causing organisms.  Therefore, as a precaution, the authority is issuing this notice effective until further notice.

The affected area will be Dutch Hill - East of Market st from Elm to Willing

Also the East End of town from Columbia going East out of town.
